About
Hello — I'm Alexandr.
I've always liked adventures and the places nobody else bothers with — so I started carrying a camera to meet them properly.
I build mobile apps for a living. Away from that, I like adventures and exploring — abandoned places, ruins, the buildings everyone else has agreed to ignore. I go looking for the uncrowded corners, the kind of road that stops being a road, and I try to see the beauty in them from a different angle. This site is where those trips end up — a field journal of abandoned places, ruins and brutalist architecture, wherever in the world I find it.
I'm drawn to the honesty of it. A ruin can't pretend. Brutalism doesn't flatter you. I photograph these places the way I find them — half-lit, half-fallen, mid-sentence — and write down what standing there actually felt like. No restoration, no nostalgia. Just the place, before it's gone.
Most of what I shoot first appears on Instagram as video. This is the slower archive: the stills, the coordinates, the notes.
Looking for the developer?
This is my photography journal — the thing I link in my bio. My professional work, the mobile apps I build, lives on a separate site. If that's what brought you here, head over there.
