Lost Places is a photography journal. The writing and the pictures are free to read. Membership is a way to support it, and in return it shows you where these places are.

What you get

An active membership gives you the routes — the drives already made, the stops in order, and the map that goes with them — plus each new route as it's published.

That is the whole of it: a point on a map, and a place you may be able to see from a distance. It is not access, not entry, and not a right to be there. It is access to a personal archive as it stands — places are added as they are visited and occasionally removed, so no particular entry is guaranteed to remain. Membership is for adults.

Keep the locations to yourself

Locations are shared in confidence. They may not be published, posted, or passed on. A place that circulates publicly is stripped or sealed within a season, which is why these locations are not on the open pages. Republishing them ends the membership without a refund.

Copyright

All photographs and text on this site are protected by copyright and remain the property of the author. Membership grants no rights over them beyond reading and keeping a copy for personal use. For licensing or any other use, contact nadtoka.o.work@gmail.com.

Payment, cancelling and refunds

Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, which can be done at any time from your account; access then runs to the end of the period already paid for and nothing further is charged.

If you change your mind within 14 days of paying, email nadtoka.o.work@gmail.com and you'll be refunded in full, no reason needed. Beyond 14 days there's no obligation, but if a renewal caught you out and hasn't been used since, get in touch and it will be sorted out.

If something went wrong — charged twice, charged after cancelling, paid and got nothing — that's a mistake rather than a policy question, and it will be fixed, refund included. Refunds go back to the card used; banks usually take a few days to show it.

Please email before disputing a payment with your bank. A dispute costs more than the membership itself whatever the outcome, and it ends access automatically.

No permission, and no responsibility

These are derelict buildings. Knowing where one is confers no right of access and no permission to enter, from the author or from anyone else. Nothing on this site is advice or encouragement to enter, and entering may be unlawful. What is done with a location is the sole responsibility of the person doing it. See the safety notes.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your rights as a consumer.
